Male Eastern Pondhawk Giving Me the Eye
The dragonflies in our yard tend to do sudden head turns from time to time. I'm guessing they are looking for prey or predators. Here are a few of the images where I caught them doing the turn. Nikon D810A camera and 200mm f4 macro lens unless otherwise noted.

You can see this dragonflies mouth thanks to a bit of a turn here. I don't get too many pictures where their mouths are visible.
