M108 is listed as a spiral galaxy and shines at mag 9.9. The Owl is a planetary nebula nearby, getting its name the dark features can look like an owl's eyes. See below for the full resolution views.
29 images of 4 minutes each = 116 minutes total exposure. February 2007. Canon EOS 20Da (unmodified), 12 images at ISO 1600, 17 at ISO 800, Takahashi TOA 130 (a 5" APO refractor) with reducer, Losmandy G-11 mount. My current image processing workflow is here.
