Yucca Flowers, Alpine TX

Best guess so far is that this is one of the many flavors of yucca plant, a member of the agave family.  During this trip out west these plants were flowering *everywhere* along the road west of Junction or so.

Gil Avises: It is an Argemone, probably Argemone munita, the Prickly poppy, a native species.

An Alien? No, another one of those flowers.
